‘High-neck’ and ‘sleeveless’ are two styles that I usually stay well away from; they were made for petite, narrow shoulders and slender, toned arms – neither of which I possess! However, I wore this gorgeous ASOS chiffon shift dress out to dinner when I was in Thailand and I felt surprisingly unselfconscious in it. It’s floaty and comfortable (perfect for occasions when your eyes are bigger than your belly) and the beautiful layered lace detailing makes it a grown-up kind of girly. To give it a little (but not too much) shape, I put a skinny black belt round it and paired it with the highest pair of heels I have ever owned (6.5 inches, no less). Difficulty walking and raw soles seem a small price to pay to strut around in such beautiful shoes! I’ve yet to see a more intricate, unique design on a pair of heels. I just love the way the nude mesh slots in between the laser cut-outs in the suede fabric. They’re such a statement and definitely a pair that I will wear for many years to come.
Love, Beth xo.
