Finally – the last of my Fashion Week outfits (see the other two looks here and here). Shot on the balcony of our gorgeous room at the Marriott Regents Park, this look was another experimental one – and actually the 2nd time I wore trainers in the space of a few days (which my feet silently thanked me for). Throughout Fashion Weeks previously, I’ve worn heels to every occasion and by the end of it, I’m limping and biting my tongue in an attempt not to cry. I’ve always loved heels, they do wonders for my legs and actually, for my confidence too. They make me stand taller and instantly feel more feminine.
But trainers are just so comfortable and they allow me to play around with styling and experiment with more relaxed outfits (I have a tendency to dress quite formally on a day-to-day basis). So when I was invited to ASOS HQ (yep, definitely a ‘pinch me’ moment) to pick out a few pieces to style, I chose items that although I loved, I perhaps wouldn’t ordinarily go for – namely this gorgeous high-neck, bell sleeve jumper with chunky ribbed detailing. If you’re a loyal reader, you’ll know I love my chunky grey jumpers but in terms of shape, I’ve never worn one quite like this. Being long-length, I would usually tuck it in or cinch it at the waist but I decided to wear it loose over a tight midi-skirt and embrace the relaxed shape. I wore this military-style waistcoat over the top – a lovely tailored contrast which paired with the best Chloé ‘Faye’ dupe of all time, elevated the look from “hotel rooftop chillin” to “okay I can actually attend meetings in this”.
Love, Beth xo.
