Autumn is approaching (although there have been whispers that it’s technically here, as of September 1st) and with it, comes the introduction of warm neutrals and earthy tones. Camel, tan, beige, burgundy, maroon, brown – I want them all. These colours are cosy, they accompany wind-battered rosy cheeks and hot chocolates by an open fire. I love summer but I also love to snuggle down in Autumn/Winter, spending evenings under thick blankets in chunky roll neck jumpers and fluffy slipper socks.
Anyway, I know we’re not quite there just yet – we’ve been promised a few more warm sunny days before the cold really sets in. So I suppose you could say I’m dressing for the transition, when the leaves turn golden and the iced lattes go out of fashion. I only recently bought this Boohoo coat, I was searching for one that was long-length, camel-coloured and tailored (my AW15 coat criteria) and this fit the bill perfectly. I’ve already worn it to death, with everything from jeans and culottes to skirts and dresses – it’s ideal to throw over pretty much anything for that added bit of warmth so expect to see a lot more of it over the coming months!
Polly took these lovely photos for me (I love that in London you can just wander round and find a place to shoot pretty much anywhere) just before we enjoyed a delicious meal at Rossopomodoro – which you can read all about here. And right after these were taken, we were approached by two rather lovely gentlemen wanting to take us out for a drink. We already had our girly date night planned but perhaps another time eh?
Love, Beth xo.
