Apologies for my absence lately, between running around for last minute gifts and cards, I went on a whistle-stop trip to Amsterdam (more on that soon) and had to attend family gatherings, keeping me super busy and causing me to neglect my blog a bit over the Christmas period. But I’m back! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and over-indulged just the right amount. Note all the chocolate and cake that is stuck to my thighs in these pictures … bring on a healthy New Year!
This was my outfit for Christmas lunch with my Mum and brother, which we enjoyed in 1907, a restaurant inside Brooklands Hotel, Weybridge. Perhaps not the most conventional Christmas meal but due to family circumstances, we decided to treat ourselves to a luxury meal out rather than stay in. It was such an incredible experience, I’m definitely tempted to do a separate post on the meal alone. With 4 courses and complimentary champagne, it defined opulence and indulgence.
Anyway, on to the outfit! More faux fur. This gorgeous midnight-blue Lipsy jacket was a Christmas present that I actually chose while shopping in London with my Mum last month. I absolutely love it! I decided to stick with the blue colour theme, wearing a beautiful silk shirt from Jigsaw (a brave choice on such a cold day), a navy bowling bag and these adorable tie-front platform sandals from New Look which I’ve had for years. I’ve been thinking about selling them for months now but I’m glad I didn’t. They prove that hoarding isn’t always such a bad thing … you never know when you’re gonna need that age-old accessory!
Love, Beth xo.
