Sunday style and the all-important Red Cup (which definitely deserves capitalisation).
So today I had my first Sunday “off” in a very long time. Although I’ve worked through the evening (and will probably continue to do so until the early hours), I enjoyed a full day out in London at the Spirit of Christmas Fair; buying my first festive gifts, drinking coffee from the infamous red cups and enjoying the beautiful twinkling displays around Olympia. Christmas is my absolute favourite time of the year, the joy and magic it brings has me longing for it in each of the other 11 months (because Christmas definitely starts on December 1st, right?). Despite the turbulence you might have experienced in the past year, Christmas is a time to indulge your inner child – to allow yourself to feel blissfully happy and immerse yourself in true festive spirit. Let the countdown begin …
My outfit today was mainly comprised of items that have been tucked in my wardrobe for a couple of years (hence why they’re no longer available so I’ve linked the most similar designs I could find). Let’s start with this biker jacket. I bought it from Warehouse a few years ago and have only worn it a handful of times. I love the ribbed detail on the arms and the wide lapels, it’s such an easy-wear piece and perfect for this transitional weather (was anyone else actually warm today?). I’ve been gravitating towards loose trouser styles until I can start hitting the gym regularly again (the skinny jeans have been banished for the foreseeable future) but I really like how these tie-waist ones sit above my hips, giving me shape when I’m wearing slouchy styles. The cowl neck jumper is perhaps one of my most worn items to date – being both grey and oversized, it matches my knitwear criteria perfectly. It was a pricey investment piece but one that I have got every penny’s worth of wear out of. And would I have ordinarily paired trainers with satin trousers? Absolutely not. But opting for comfort, I did. And I think it worked.
Love, Beth xo.
