LFW was a little different for me this season. Instead of trying to cram in as many events and shows as possible, I was a little more selective about when I chose to be ‘in the thick of it’. Due to work commitments, I was unfortunately unable to visit Somerset House on Friday (Day 1) which I was pretty gutted about, as it appeared to be the busiest and most popular day this year. Instead, I attended the Gyunel show in the evening (read a little more here) and then proceeded to have only one full day at Somerset House – Sunday (Day 3). I have to be honest and say this season was the complete opposite to SS15 last September. Where last year the atmosphere was alive and the Strand buzzing, this year felt a little ‘flat’ – and having spoken to a couple of other people, I don’t think I was alone in thinking that. The weather definitely played some part, it poured down with rain over the weekend and hundreds of people flocked inside to cafes and nearby hotels, trying to seek temporary cover. Though the rain lasted a long time and therefore the majority of Sunday was spent either inside the ME Hotel or hopping between local cafes. Not particularly glamorous!
I did however, get the chance to catch up with lots of fellow bloggers, as well as meeting a couple of new faces – which was just lovely. But it definitely wasn’t my favourite Fashion Week experience. Bring on September! In the meantime, I’m cosying up with a hot chocolate and lusting over the outfits from Milan Fashion Week …
Love, Beth xo.
P.S. Thank you to the lovely Debs from Bang On Style for these outfit photos!
