On Saturday I was lucky enough to go to Lovebox Festival with the Fashion Sept ladies (that’s Lois, Amy, Leigh, Clare, Laura and Annie – and me!) courtesy of Superdry, who along with Westfield and JustFab, kitted us out with our fab festival outfits (more details on that in a separate post!).
It was a wonderfully dust-filled, snap-happy day and a great opportunity to spend time with some lovely other bloggers. We all met outside the entrance and ended up (unintentionally) spending a few hours applying a selection of beautiful Flash Tattoos (with a water bottle and makeup sponges, festival style), munching on various bags of sweets and catching up. Once inside, it was time to ‘work’. We divided up, took outfit photos and a few of the girls got some great street style shots too – there was such a diverse range of festival outfits, we even saw Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! As one of the photos above illustrates, our phones were glued to our hands all day as we took every opportunity to do what we do best: the all-important social media-ing.
Aside from the more professional-looking photos taken on the few SLR cameras we had between us, we also got some gorgeous snaps on our polaroid cameras, the FujiFilm Instax Mini 8 kindly gifted to us by Currys. I used mine for taking ‘cute’ photos that I knew I’d want on display at a later date, so I photographed the ferris wheel, the quirky street food vans and details of our little picnic – when we all got to sit down (still sporadically checking/posting on our social profiles), take some group shots and enjoy a few exclusive La Di Da Cupcakes, specially made for Lovebox. This was also an opportunity for everyone to wet-wipe their filthy feet – Lovebox is the dustiest festival I’ve ever been to!
I was really keen to see Snoop Dogg (the headline act) but as the sun went down and the evening crowd started to arrive (quite literally, thousands more people), I realised just how exhausted I was. I commuted to London nearly every day last week and having had a fantastic day, was just ready to collapse into bed and get some much-needed rest. So Lois, Amy, Annie and I headed off to begin our journey home, leaving the other girls to party the night away …
A massive thank you to Superdry for taking us to the festival and a special thank you to the Fashion Sept ladies for making the day so enjoyable. Until next time!
Love, Beth xo.
