Unlike most, I was fortunate enough not to have to go back to work immediately after the Bank Holiday weekend. Today was an extra day of rest and over-indulgence (is anyone else craving a green juice after this weekend’s blowout?) so in addition to catching up on emails (umm and maybe sleep too), I popped out with my Mum for a coffee and what I intended to be window shopping … until I spotted these beauties. I only ever set foot in TK Maxx when my Mum practically drags me in there (it’s probably her favourite shop ever) but when I do, it’s either straight to the bag or shoe section. These are where I always find the real bargains – designer accessories reduced to less than half the original retail price.
These beautifully supple ballet flats are a gorgeous blush/nude colour with a gold buckle fastening that is refreshingly hassle-free. There’s nothing worse when you’re overheated in the Summer than messing around with stiff buckes and stubborn loopholes. These straps simply fold back on themselves and you pop the little gold studs through the holes in the strap itself. And they are so comfortable! They fit my feet perfectly and the cushioned sole has me feeling like I’m walking on pillows. In a nutshell, they’re pretty much my dream flats for Spring/Summer. And at £40, I simply couldn’t resist. Now let’s just hope this warmer weather sticks around!
