Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet Eau De Toilette 50ml (via House of Fraser)
I’ve lost count of the number of perfumes I’ve had from Marc Jacob‘s Daisy range. Fresh, light and uplifting, these fruity floral fragrances are perfect for everyday wear during the Spring and Summer (though saying that, I’ve always worn mine all year round). I’ve recently just finished my 2nd (or was it 3rd?) bottle of Daisy Dream which with base notes of coconut water and top notes of pear and jasmine was a rich, feminine and yet simultaneously subtle scent – one that lingered for hours and left a beautiful fragrant trail wherever I went. That was definitely my favourite perfume, until I stumbled across Daisy Sorbet when I was in House of Fraser the other day.
It’s true, I can walk around the perfume section of department stores for hours – sniffing a little, spraying a lot and walking out wholly unsatisfied (and smelling quite unpleasant too). The scent you choose to wear is so personal and it really is so important to get it right. Anyway, I’d been browsing for almost an hour and had begun to walk the same aisles twice when I came across a little stand selling limited edition fragrances only and that’s when I spotted Daisy Sorbet. A combination of pear, passion fruit, jasmine and wisteria, it’s a sweet but delicate luscious blend of sparkling fruits and soft florals. I sniffed, I loved. I sprayed, I adored. I just knew I had to have it. I’d picked up a 50ml bottle and was hoping to buy a 30ml instead (purely to save a bit of money) but as 50ml was the smallest size they sold, I bought it anyway. And I’m so glad I did, I love it.
I usually get about 6 months wear out of a 50ml bottle (I really wouldn’t know how that compares) but I spray perfume every morning and sometimes again at night if I’m going out. So I can definitely justify the cost! In my opinion, when you find the right one, it’s an investment worth making.
What are your favourite perfumes? And how long do you make them last?
Love, Beth xo.
