Slowly but surely, I’m picking up the puzzle pieces that form my everyday routine, piecing them back together and creating a new rhythm.
With the New Year comes the chaos that is doubt, change and uncertainty; all of which mingle together and leave my routine feeling completely out of whack. Achieving goals demands compromise, dedication and a little careful planning – which with a little tweak here and there, actually leaves me feeling very excited. But first, when you realise you can’t do everything at once and that some things require more time (and consequently more patience) than others, it’s choppy waters.
We’re almost 3 weeks into 2016 and I finally feel like I’m establishing a rhythm. I’m making more time to hit the gym regularly (something that’s key for both my productivity as well as overall happiness and wellbeing), I’m taking time out when I feel like I need to (not pushing through, risking burnout) and I’m carefully assessing each task to gage its priority level, ensuring that I don’t pick and choose which bits of work to do and which to leave until later (which I’m definitely guilty of doing in the past). I feel comfortable and relatively content. And with that, comes the excited anticipation of the year ahead and what’s in store.
What about you? Have you found your New Year rhythm yet?
Love, Beth xo.
