First of all, let me apologise for being a little absent lately. I haven’t really had time to shoot or sit down and plan my content properly, I’ve been so busy with work and then I spontaneously jetted off to Egypt and it’s all been a bit hectic; days fly by too quickly! 24 hours is not a substantial amount of time to get everything done okay, it’s just not. Anyway, I have so much to share with you guys including holiday snaps, new outfits and a whole host of health/lifestyle posts – so please bear with me!
My Mum kindly snapped this photo for me at the airport before we flew to Sharm El Sheikh – a spontaneous (and very much-needed) sunny 4-day break. For me, there is nothing more important when you’re travelling than being comfortable. Oversized styles and elasticated waists are a must. I bought these Missguided trousers just last week and I absolutely love them; with pinstripe detail (which unfortunately doesn’t show on the photo), an elasticated tie-waist and cuffed ankles, they’re quite frankly my perfect trouser style. Definitely a new staple and maybe even set to make an appearance at Fashion Week – I love them that much. Coupled with my oversized cowlneck jumper from Whistles, I created a look that made me feel ‘nice’ (sounds lame, doesn’t it?) and allowed me to cosy up on the flight. And nothing makes me feel glamorous quite like a pair of heels so I opted for my low-heeled Kurt Geiger sandals and finished the look with my navy bowler bag from Jigsaw to compliment the navy trousers.
In case you were wondering, we picked Egypt because it’s one of the only holiday destinations that’s actually (or so we thought) hot at this time of year. Admittedly, it was warm for 3 days (though it goes much cooler every day at 3pm, dropping to about 14 degrees) but it was only really hot on the day we were leaving – how typical! We managed to get a few hours of sun before our flight so I do have subtle tan lines, promise! Regardless, it was a lovely little getaway. And the resort was all-inclusive; I mean, who can complain about unlimited food and drink? Not me, that’s for sure. Being both vegan and coeliac, I was seriously impressed with the food on offer – extremely fresh, more variety than you could ever imagine and seriously delicious. To say we ‘overindulged’ would be the understatement of the year …
Look out for the holiday snaps I’ll be posting soon!
Love, Beth xo.
