So first let’s start with the basics. No wardrobe is complete without a simple white shirt and a pair of ripped jeans (or two) – am I right? They’re just so easy to style, both for daytime and for the evening. I’m rarely seen during the day without my ripped boyfriend jeans from Topshop – they’re so comfortable and are perfect to throw on with a casual jumper or even a smart shirt. However, for when I want to ‘dress up a bit’, I tend to go for either slim-fitting or skinny jeans – if I can squeeze myself into them on that particular day of course. Luckily, this pair from Quiz is really stretchy and also high waisted, perfect for hiding any lumps and bumps!
And the statement piece: the coat. I just adore this oversized waterfall style, it’s classic and looks so sophisticated. When liasing with WearAll, I was keen to style a camel-coloured one but they had sold out and instead suggested this one, a Mocha colour. And I actually prefer it! It’s a mix between dark taupe and grey and I really love it. Plus, I’ve already got a camel coat (see here) so it’s nice to have a bit of variety.
A huge thank you to my lovely friend Polly for these shots. I spotted these pretty pastel-coloured garage doors in our local town and roped her in to take a few photos for me. Don’t worry, I rewarded her with a medium vanilla latte afterwards …
Love, Beth xo.
